Minneapolis’s Magical History Tours

Find cheap tickets now for flights to Minneapolis to experience a truly one-of-a-kind tour. Mobile Entertainment, Minnesota’s only Segway Rental and Tour Company, offers Segway Tours along Minneapolis’s picturesque waterfront. The city’s waterfront is covered by more than 150 acres of park space, ideal for a scenic tour. Any guests aged 13 to 80 are welcome to participate in the Segway Magical History Tours, which last about three hours total. With airline tickets for cheap flights to Minneapolis, you can have an amazing tour experience without getting tired, achy muscles or navigating complicated bike lanes.

Each Segway tour session begins with Segway training by a professional guide and instructor who accompanies you for the entire tour. The tour starts at St. Anthony Main at the entrance to the waterfront complex. Head to St.Anthony Main after your long flights and before your Segway tour to explore its restaurants, boutique shops and movie theaters, or take some great photos of St. Anthony Falls and the Stone Arch Bridge. Besides the Magical History Tour, as of summer 2011 there is another Sculpture Garden tour option. Some of the sites you’ll see along the tour are the Upper Lock and Dam and Hennepin Avenue Bridge. You’ll head through Gateway Park, the historic core of the city, and its lovely Gateway Fountain. You’ll Segway by Saw Mill Island and Boom Island, then cross a pedestrian bridge to Nicollet Island. Boom Island, a favorite site for weddings and river cruise departures, has a boat launch and marina as well as waterfront promenades. At Nicollet Island, you can see the Mississippi’s first dam, constructed in 1858, and explore this waterfront park with 43 historic homes. Your tour purchase also gets you into Mill City Museum, another stop on the list, plus snacks. The Mill City Museum explains the intersection of the flour industry and the Mississippi River and how Minneapolis became an industrial city. It is a fun and interactive museum with a Baking Lab, an 8-story Flour Tower exhibit, and much more.

To explore the other Twin City, you can also do a Segway tour of neighboring St. Paul’s Summit Hill neighborhood. Mobile Entertainment Segway Tours run seven days a week from April to November, so hurry up and grab those airline tickets for cheap flights to Minneapolis. At $80.00 per person, the Segway package includes parking near the tour starting point, a Segway training session and helmet rental, 5 mile tour, refreshments and admission ticket at Mill City Museum, and a 25% discount for one of the restaurants along the trip.
