Norwegian adding third London Gatwick-LAX flight next winter

Norway’s national carrier Norwegian has announced it will be adding additional flights to be operated between London Gatwick and Los Angeles starting next winter. This will be the airline’s third weekly services between the two destinations.

The airline in a statement said that the flights to Los Angeles will begin from October 25 during the winter 2015/16 schedule. The flights from London Gatwick to Los Angeles will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays every week.

The airline is presently offering twice weekly services between the two cities utilizing its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The Flight DY7095 will depart from London Gatwick (LGW) at 1250 and reach Los Angeles (LAX) at 1610. The return Flight DY7096 will take off from Los Angeles at 1820 and arrive in London Gatwick at 1250 the next day.

Meanwhile, Norwegian also announced it is all set to start its new flights between London Gatwick (LGW) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) from next summer. The flights will be launched from April 4, 2015 and will operate once every week on Saturdays.

The airline further said that it will be launching its new services between Copenhagen Airport (CPH) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) starting from March 30, 2015. The flights on Copenhagen-Orlando route will be operated once every week on Mondays.

With the launch of flights between Orlando and Copenhagen, the airline will now be expanding its transatlantic operations. The airline has also indicated that it will boost its frequencies to both Los Angeles and New York JFK from London Gatwick from next summer.
