Oman Air offers most comfortable business class seats in world

It's the seat that really matters in business class cabin on any airline. Media reports recently indicated that Oman Air has emerged as a leading airline to offer one of the world's largest and most comfortable business class seats.

Oman Air has to its credit a number of awards for offering exceptional business class service. The airline recently won Best Business Class Airline 2015 in the Middle East category during the Business Destinations Travel Awards presentation ceremony. The airline had also won business class awards in 2011, 2012 and 2013 as well.

Travel experts have attributed several reasons for the airline having won so many laurels. The customers traveling on business class flights are offered 1-2-1 configuration of seating thus providing great comfort whether traveling alone or as a couple. Such seating configuration is provided to first class customers by other airlines. Oman Air offers fully-flat bed of 77.5 inches. However, its Middle East rivals Etihad Air offers a fully-flat bed of 73 inches, while Emirates Airline offers a flatbed of either 70 inches or 79 inches, depending on the aircraft type.

Oman Air even excels in seat width and seat pitch as well. The airline offers a generous seat width of 22 inches, while Emirates Airline and Etihad Airways offer 20.5 inches and 20 inches respectively. The seat pitch offered by Oman Air is a whopping 82 inches, while Etihad Airways and Emirates Airline offer 73 inches and 60 inches respectively.

The business class seats offered by Oman Air also prominently features two USB plugs, a power point, a 17-inch screen, an adjustable seat pan depth, an electrically controlled backrest/seat bottom and leg rest.

Among other facilites offered to business class customers include complimentary 15 minute massage from the lounge spa, male and female prayer rooms, gourmet seasonal dining menus, Wi-Fi access, children's play room equipped with movies, toys and PSP games, and shower rooms with shaving kits, towels, bathrobes, and luxury toiletries, including Amouage perfume.
