Porter Airlines the best regional airline of North America

Porter Airlines was awarded as the North America’s Best Regional Airline in the 2014 World Airline Awards by Skytrax. This category was introduced by Skytrax for the first time.

Every year airline passengers from 160 countries take part in customer satisfaction survey conducted by Skytrax. Passengers’ measure and rank products and services of airline they are traveling in, both on ground and in-flight. The collected data is analyzed by Skytrax to select the award winners.

Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines, said that this award exhibits that passengers appreciate the airline’s approach to service and realize the importance of a convenient downtown airport like Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. We aim towards adding more destinations including Los Angeles, Miami, Vancouver, and San Francisco in the coming days, allowing even more passengers to come and live the fabulous Porter experience. He further announced that Porter Airlines is aiming to link Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport to major North American destinations by 2016.

The airline distinguishes itself from competitors by emphasizing on service. It provides free amenities including access to lounge, food, and wine and beer to all travelers.

The airline in 2013, received the Top Small Airline award from Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards. It also has a four-star rating from Skytrax for its overall quality performance, making it the fourth airline in the North America to receive this rating.   

Porter Airlines, the regional airline of Canada, was established in 2006. It is headquartered at Toronto. The airline has created a stir in the short-haul segment through its effortless and warm approach to hospitality. The carrier presently offers services to Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Newark, and many more. It also provides seasonal flights to Myrtle Beach, Burlington, Stephenville, and others.
