Qantas offers chauffeur drive for U.S. business travelers
Qantas, the flag carrier of Australia has announced the launch of its free chauffeur service for business class passengers in the United States. The airline said it was expanding this benefit for customers onboard its flights to destinations of Los Angeles and Dallas/Fort Worth.
The carrier will also offer this service to its first class passengers. It plans to commence the pickups for New York passengers sometime in the year 2014.
In an official statement the airline confirmed its intention to begin the “Chauffeur Drive,” to Johannesburg and Santiago and other long distance international flights. It said the service will cater to flights that take more than 12 hours to arrive at their destinations in 2014.
Passengers traveling on business class tickets on Qantas flights routes Sydney and Melbourne to Dubai and London are privileged to use this service. Travelers boarding a domestic flight from Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart and Pert will also be able benefit from this service.
Qantas is Australia's largest airline. Besides it is the world’s oldest airline in continuous operation. It is headquartered in Sydney, New South Wales and operates out of its main hub at Sydney Airport.
