Qatar Airways increasing capacity on Doha-Miami route from May 2

Qatar Airways will be increasing its capacity between Doha and Miami from May this year. The airline will be deploying a larger Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to operate flights between the two cities starting from May 2, 2015.

The leading Middle East carrier is presently operating a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft offering five times weekly service on the route. The airline has decided to utilize a larger Boeing aircraft to accommodate more passengers and fulfill the growing travel demand on this lucrative route.

Qatar Airways in a statement said that it will be increasing the frequency on Doha-Miami route starting from November 18, 2015 and offer daily services. The airline is currently operating five times weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The airline first started operating flights between Doha and Miami from June 2014. The route has become popular with travelers ever since the service began on the route.

Apart from Qatar Airways, the Miami International Airport welcomed other international carriers such as Air France and Lufthansa as well in 2014. Air France became the second airline after Lufthansa to offer services out of Miami airport utilizing its superjumbo Airbus A380 aircraft.

Air France said that it will be operating its daily flights to Miami from Paris for the entire winter season through March 28, 2015 with the help of its Airbus A380 aircraft. The airline will later resume its daily service utilizing its Boeing 777-300 aircraft.

Lufthansa also launched seasonal flights services on Miami-Munich route starting from December 2, 2014. The airline is serving the route with the help of its Airbus A330 aircraft. The five times weekly service will be operated through April 30, 2015, on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
