Qatar Airways launching three new U.S. routes in 2016

As the rivalry between major U.S. carriers and leading Middle East carriers intensifies, Qatar Airways has upped the ante by announcing the launch of three new routes in the United States from its main hub Doha.
 
State of Qatar’s national carrier Qatar Airways recently said that it will start operating flights to three new U.S. cities, which includes Los Angeles, Atlanta and Boston from 2016. With the addition of the three routes, the airline will now be offering daily nonstop flights to all 10 of the largest metropolitan areas of the U.S.

The airline said that it will start operating flights to Los Angeles from Doha starting from January 1, 2016. The second largest city in the United States will be served by the flagship Boeing 777 aircraft. The airline said that its customers booking business class tickets will be offered 42 fully lie-flat seats in business class cabin in a 2-2-2 configuration.

Qatar Airways also said that it will be launching daily flights to Boston from Doha effective from March 16, 2016. The airline will be deploying its latest flagship Airbus A350 XWB aircraft to operate flights to Boston, the largest city in New England. The Airbus A350 XWB aircraft is configured in two classes. The customers traveling in business class cabins will be offered 36 fully flat bed seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. Apart from the 80-inch fully flat bed, the premium customers will also be offered a 17-inch screen for in-flight entertainment.

The airline further stated that the flights between Atlanta and Doha will begin operating from July 1, 2016. The route will be served with the help of a Boeing 777 aircraft. The airline will also be adding a second daily service between New York and Doha from next year as well.
