Qatar Airways named Best Business Class Airline for 2014

Qatar Airways won the ‘Best Business Class Airline’ sward at the recently presented Business Traveller Awards 2014, organized at The Hilton Hotel, London. The airline has won the award in the same category for the second consecutive year.

The latest award comes close on the heels of Qatar Airways winning a similar ‘Best Business Class Airline’ award by Skytrax during the Farnborough Air Show.

Qatar’s national carrier Qatar Airways apart from getting the ‘Best Business Class Airline’ title at the Business Traveller Awards 2014, also won several other awards in different categories as well. The categories in which the airline was voted as a winner included ‘Best Cabin Staff’, ‘Best Middle Eastern Airline’, ‘Best Economy Class’, ‘Best Long-Haul Airline’, and ‘Best Airline’ by the readers of the prominent Business Traveller magazine.

Qatar Airways’ Senior Vice-President, North, South & Western Europe, Jonathan Harding, expressed delight and said that the airline feels honored and privileged in winning the ‘Best Business Class Airline’ award for the consecutive second year. He said that this was in itself a proof to the excellent quality and five-star service being provided constantly to the customers by the airline. He further said that it was a matter of great pride that the airline was able to clinch the coveted title once again after vigorous competition posed by different international airlines.

Earlier, Qatar Airways in May this year introduced its first all-Business Class daily service between its main hub Doha and UK’s London Heathrow airport. The service is being operated utilizing an Airbus A319 aircraft configured with 40 seats in business class cabin.
