Qatar Airways opens premium lounge at London Heathrow
Feb 10, 2012
Qatar Airways recently unveiled its new Premium Lounge for first and business class passengers at London’s Heathrow Airport. The lounge is located airside at Terminal 4.
The newly-opened lounge is the airline’s first dedicated facility for premium passengers outside its Doha hub.
The passengers who made Qatar Airways flight reservations for business class will be provided various facilities, such as power shower with heated floors and mirrors, hotel-style towels, luxury-branded toiletries, free Wi-Fi connectivity, discreet power sockets at every seat, and a centre equipped with PCs and printers.
The key features of the new lounge include theater-style global brasserie kitchen, delicatessen, and Signature Martini bar. The lounge can now accommodate over 90 passengers.
The opening of the lounge also marks the start of another busy year for the airline. Qatar Airways flights will now be operating on several new routes. Besides, the airline has also added capacity on the London Heathrow-Doha route. From March 25 onwards, the airline will operate five flights daily instead of the existing four.
