Qatar Airways showcase its best of ultra-modern fleet at airshow

Qatar Airways recently showcased the very best of its ultra-modern fleet at the Dubai Airshow. The airline put on display three of its latest generation aircrafts – Airbus A380, Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Qatar Airways is the global launch customer of Airbus A380 and Airbus A350 aircrafts. The Airbus A380 entered service last autumn, while the airline took the delivery of Airbus A350 and was its global launch customer in December 2014.

Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways Group, said that the Airbus A350 aircraft entered service in January 2015. The airline is presently conducting double-daily flights to Frankfurt, daily flights to Munich and thrice-daily flights to Singapore. The aircraft’s business class cabin is in a 1-2-1 configuration and offers 36 seats, each featuring an 80-inch full flat bed and 17-inch HD screen for in-flight entertainment. The aircraft also offers a total of 247 seats in economy class cabin in a 3-3-3 configuration with 18-inch wide seats and a 10.6-inch in-flight entertainment screen.

The airline’s Airbus A380 aircraft is configured in three classes – First Class, Business Class and Economy Class – and has a total capacity of 517 seats. The Airbus A380 is the world’s largest passenger aircraft and presently deployed by Qatar Airways for conducting flights from Doha to London, Paris and Bangkok.

According to Qatar Airways, its newly installed first class cabin in Airbus A380 aircraft will be featuring a seat with a 90-inch pitch that can be transformed into a fully-flat bed. The first class customers will also be provided a personal 26-inch HD TV screens with up to 2,000 in-flight entertainment options.
