Silver Airways begins flights to Central Florida from March 19

Silver Airways has decided to make travel between Central Florida and Charleston even more convenient. The low-cost carrier said that the customers will now get quick access to key cities in the Southeast from the beautiful city of Charleston.

The airline has announced that it is launching nonstop flights to Orlando and Tampa from South Carolina’s Charleston city. The flights to both the cities will debut from March 19, 2015. The flights to Orlando International Airport and Tampa International Airport will be operated daily.

Apart from the nonstop flights to two cities, the airline said that the new flights have been designed in such a way that the customers will be able to easily connect to Fort Lauderdale as well via one-stop service. The airline will also be operating at least one direct flight between Fort Lauderdale and Charleston in each direction on weekdays.

Sam Teittinen, CEO of Silver Airways, said, “The airline has always kept the need of business and leisure travelers in mind and wants to offer them the convenience and ease of flying over driving. The airline is aiming to further expand its point-to-point service from its hub cities of Tampa and Orlando in Florida to Charleston.”

He further said that by launching the new flights services the airline wants to provide an important link between the two Florida cities and South Carolina, in addition to additional connections to several islands in the Bahamas where it is currently flying.

The airline will operate flights to Orlando and Tampa from Charleston utilizing its 34-seat Saab 340B Plus turbo-prop aircraft. The airline currently owns a fleet of 27 Saab 340B Plus turbo-prop aircraft.
