Virgin America to begin San Francisco-Hawaii flights in November

Virgin America recently announced it will be launching its new service to Hawaii Islands from San Francisco during the end of this year. The destinations in Hawaii to be served include the capital city Honolulu and another major city Maui. The flight tickets to these destinations are already up for sale now.

The California-based carrier said that it will launch its daily flights to Honolulu from San Francisco in November 2015, while the new flights on Maui-San Francisco route will be operational from December this year.

With the arrival of Virgin America, the two Hawaiian destinations will see stiff competition from various U.S.-based carriers. The prominent among them include Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.

The daily flights on San Francisco- Honolulu route will start operating from November 2, 2015. The new service will depart from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) at 7.45 am and arrive at Honolulu International Airport (HNL) at 11.25 am. The return flight will make its departure from Honolulu at 12.55 pm and reach San Francisco at 8.15 pm.

Virgin America in a statement said that its new flights between Maui and San Francisco will be operational from December 3, 2015. The flights will be operated daily. According to the airline, the flights will depart from San Francisco on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays every week at 7.55 am and arrive at Maui at 11.40 am. However, the flights will depart from Maui at 6.05 pm and arrive at 9.50 pm during the rest days of the week.

The return flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The flights will make its departure from Maui at 1.10 pm and reach San Francisco at 8.15 pm. However, on the remaining days of the week the flights will depart from Maui at 11.20 pm and arrive in San Francisco at 6.25 am next day.  The flights on these routes will be operated with the help of an Airbus A320 aircraft.
