Virgin Atlantic to launch new leisure flights to USA

Virgin Atlantic announced the launch of two leisure flights. To be operated between Belfast - Orlando, and Glasgow - Las Vegas, these direct services will commence from next summer.

The airline is increasing its existing Las Vegas and Orlando services to two most important leisure destinations in Scotland and Northern Ireland. This new leisure service will help meet the increasing demands of travelers during peak travel season, making VA the only airline to offer flights on these routes.
It will be for the first time that the airline will fly from Belfast International Airport or in fact from Northern Ireland. Not only this, it will also be operating its first ever direct flight between Scotland and Las Vegas. At present it operates  a seasonal service between Glasgow and Orlando.

The flights between Belfast and Orlando will fly during June and July and start from June 25, 2015. On the other hand, the Glasgow to Las Vegas flights will operate during September and October starting from September 10. These services will operate only on Thursdays. Both these services will operate using Boeing 747-400 aircraft with 14 seats in Upper Class, 66 seats in premium economy, and 375 seats in economy.

Craig Kreeger, CEO of Virgin Atlantic, said that he is very happy to introduce these services. It is important for the airline to provide access of our long-haul services from all over the United Kingdom during peak seasons. The passengers of Northern Ireland and Scotland will now have an opportunity to fly to two popular US destinations from next summer.

The codeshare agreement between Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines will provide added opportunity to passengers to connect to other popular US destinations from Las Vegas and Orlando.
