Westin St Francis San Francisco and W New York-Time Square Personalized to Oriental Taste
Jul 27, 2011
Continuing its program to reach out to the Chinese market, Starwood Personalized Travel program debuted at over 19 worldwide properties this week including hotels in San Francisco, London, New York, Paris and Waikiki.
Under this program, all the Starwood properties around the world will be fine-tuned to cater to an increasing oriental traveler base and make the Chinese guests feel at home. Changes would include eastern amenities, in room slippers and tea kettles, welcome kits in Chinese and in house specialists. The restaurant’s menu would also add ‘congee’, Chinese favorite breakfast besides the regular noodles and rice.
Starwood had already made such changes in its Chinese hotels to cater to the growing American travelers earlier and reaped better loyalty and occupancy. The hotel group aims to achieve similar or better results this time around as well. As per the spokesperson, the Starwood Personalized Travel program will be expanded to all worldwide properties by the end of 2012.
