Virgin Australia enthused over its outstanding growth
Australia’s leading carrier Virgin Australia recently expressed its happiness over its outstanding growth.
Neil Chatfield, Chairman of Virgin Australia, speaking to media persons said that the recent results had exceeded the company’s high expectations leading to its remarkable transformation.
He said that Virgin Australia flights have posted solid growth. This shows that the airline has moved on from its first phase and has now entered into the second phase of its progress. Chatfield said that the real competition has now begun and from now onwards there will be an ongoing concern to the airline’s domestic and international competitors.
Chatfield said that in the last 12 months Virgin Australia has been a tremendous success. The airline has now quite successfully established a global network through its four alliance partners, including Etihad Airways, Delta Air Lines, Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines.
The airline has also succeeded in giving a turnaround in its fortunes with the launch of business class for the domestic market. The airline also relaunched international flight operations under the Virgin Australia brand.
