Aegean Airlines sign codeshare pact with Singapore Airlines
Aegean Airlines recently announced it has entered into a codeshare agreement with Singapore Airlines. The airline in a statement said that travelers booking Aegean Airlines flights from the Greek cities of Athens and Thessaloniki would get options to visit Singapore and beyond.
The airline stated that its codeshare pact with Singapore Airlines will become effective from December 1, 2012. The pact will also allow Singapore Airlines customers to book Aegean Airlines flights tickets and travel to Athens and Thessaloniki. Aegean Airlines is currently a member of Star Alliance.
Under the codeshare agreement, Singapore Airlines would be able to put its flight code on Aegean Airlines- operated flights serving Athens from London, Frankfurt, Munich and Milan, as well as flights serving Thessaloniki from Munich and Frankfurt.
Similarly, Aegean Airlines would also be able to put its code on Singapore Airlines-operated flights serving Singapore from Munich, Milan and Frankfurt, as well as flights beyond Singapore to Sydney and Melbourne.
