Aeromexico confirms plans to operate thrice weekly flights between London Heathrow and Mexico City Dec 14

Mexico’s national flag carrier Aeromexico recently reaffirmed its plans that it will be launching its flights services between London Heathrow and Mexico City in December this year.

The airline in a statement said that Aeromexico flights from London Heathrow to Mexico City will be launched from December 14, 2012. The flights between the two cities will be operated thrice weekly.

The airline said that customers booking Aeromexico flights tickets will be able to board their flights to be operated out of London Heathrow’s Terminal 4. Other SkyTeam alliance members also operate their services out of Terminal 4.

Aeromexico said that by introducing its flights on London Heathrow-Mexico City route it will be offering a tough competition to British Airways.

Currently, UK’s national flag carrier British Airways is operating four times weekly flights between the two cities with the help of a Boeing 747-400 aircraft. Aeromexico is expected to operate its flights on the route utilizing a smaller Boeing 767 aircraft.
