Aeromexico starts flights between Monterrey and Laredo

Aeromexico, the flag carrier airline of Mexico launched a direct flight service between Monterrey and Laredo, also famously called as the "Sister Cities" on December 27, 2012.

Operated by Embraer 145 Regional Jet aircraft, the Aeromexico flight had a total capacity of 50 passengers.

Raul G. Salinas, Mayor of Laredo said that the Laredo community from long wanted this direct service from Monterrey. From the past one year Laredo city and Aeromexico were in conversation regarding the launch of this flight service. And after a negotiation in terms of an incentive package was offered by the Laredo city council the airline had finally agreed to start this direct flight service.
