Aeromexico to begin flights to London from Mexico City starting December 14

Mexico’s national flag carrier Aeromexico recently announced it will begin flights to London Heathrow from Mexico City in mid-December this year.

The airline in a statement said that Aeromexico flights between London Heathrow and Mexico City is scheduled to begin from December 14, 2012. The airline said that London Heathrow will be its third destination in Europe.
Aeromexico will be deploying Boeing 767-300ER aircrafts to operate flights on London Heathrow-Mexico City route.

According to the airline, the customers booking Aeromexico flights tickets will get opportunity to board direct flights to London, instead of connecting through Madrid to London Gatwick.
 
The airline’s flights to London Heathrow will be complementing Aeromexico’s existing long-haul service to European destinations, including Paris and Madrid.

Earlier, Aeromexico operated flights services between Mexico City and Barcelona. However, the airline decided to stop flying on this route this year because of its dismal performance as the route was proving to be loss-making.
