Air China to offer baggage through check-in service on Beijing-Sweden route

Passengers boarding Air China flights from Beijing to Sweden will now have a convenient flying experience and hassle free journey.

Air China recently announced it has signed an agreement with Swedish customs authorities aimed at offering baggage through check-in to passengers who want to transfer to other domestic destinations in Sweden via Stockholm airport. The new deal will come into effect starting from September 1, 2012.

This exclusive service will be available to the passengers booking Air China flights tickets from Beijing to Stockholm and who require connecting to another Swedish city at Stockholm airport. The new service will enable the passengers to get their baggage checked in Beijing itself all the way through to the final destination in Sweden.

As part of the process the passengers would require to go through the usual formalities for customs, immigration and quarantine at Stockholm airport. However, after the security check is finally completed the passengers would be able to board their flights for their onward journey.
