Arik Air to launch mobile bookings, offer more convenience

Arik Air is committed to serve its customers and hence keeps updating its services. Recently the airline that offers regional, domestic, and international flights to customers in Nigeria announced its plans to launch mobile booking service.

The announcement comes in the wake of the airline’s tie up with a famous mobile commerce company by the name of SlimTrader. It aims to help its customer’s book tickets through their handheld gadgets. The carrier is revamping its overall technological offerings and as a part of the same is set to enhance its own facilities.

The airline believes this service will benefit the customers in lot many ways and will help them book Arik Air tickets in a simple click. It said the popularity of mobile commerce is growing manifolds in today’s fast-paced world. Considering the growth of mobile commerce in Africa it has planned to offer this service for the convenience of its passengers.

The carrier believes the new amenity would help its travelers to book and pay for their tickets in a much-simplified form. They would also be able to gather travel info, flight information and other valuable inputs on their mobiles and tablets.

The airline operates flights to a number of international destinations including New York, London, and Johannesburg. Currently it is the largest airline of the country and the national carrier of Sierra Leone. It operates out of its hubs at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
