China Airlines and Virgin America sign interline agreement

Taiwan’s national carrier China Airlines has entered into partnership with Virgin America. The partnership will enable passengers taking China Airlines flights as well as by Virgin America to seamlessly travel between North America and Asia.

Adam Green, Virgin America’s Director of Network Planning, said that it is a matter of great happiness that an interline agreement with China Airlines has been signed. This agreement will allow passengers of both carriers with more connection options between Taiwan and U.S. cities. He said that strategic partnerships like the present one with China Airlines are significant to driving connections over Virgin America’s hubs at San Francisco and Los Angeles.

China Airlines operates out of its main hub at Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei, and serves destinations in Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. The airline’s strong presence in Southeast Asia, East Asia, Northeast Asia and Greater China is proving to be a key factor in the interline agreement with Virgin America.
