China Airlines begins flights operations out of New York JFK’s Terminal 4

China Airlines flights to and from New York have started operating out of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The operations started with effect from April 30, 2012. Earlier, the flights were being operated out of Terminal 1.

Passengers booking China Airlines flights tickets are now being offered newer and more spacious facilities compared to those being earlier offered in Terminal 1.

The airline in a statement said that the passengers will now be able to enjoy more convenient ground services when boarding or transferring at Terminal 4, which is also the designated terminal of SkyTeam airline alliance.

China Airlines stated that it took the decision to operate its flights out of Terminal 4 as it wanted to maximize synergies with SkyTeam, particularly shared resources. The airline said that the Terminal 1 at New York JFK International Airport is near full capacity, which also was a major factor in prompting it to shift operations to Terminal 4.
