China Airlines e-baggage delivery system unveiled
Dec 21, 2011
Taiwan’s largest carrier China Airlines recently launched its e-luggage delivery system to smoothen baggage flows and handling by the passengers themselves and lessen their worries. The airline inaugurated self-service luggage delivery system at new service counters at the Taipei Songshan Airport.
Prior to launch of e-baggage delivery system, China Airlines’ passengers were allowed to register online and print boarding passes themselves. This benefitted passengers most due to reduced counter-service time.
The e-baggage delivery system is also aimed at vastly benefiting passengers making their travel hassle-free. The new service counters now allows passengers to register their passports, confirm flight schedules, check luggage weight and complete the final luggage delivery process, all by themselves and without any airline’s staff help whatsoever.
China Airlines has also installed exclusive counters for the physically disabled and wheelchair users. A small box has been put up for such passengers to put in their travel documents. These exclusive counters are in addition to the new service counters for the normal passengers.
