China Airlines increases frequencies on Taipei-Hong Kong-Jakarta and Taipei-Yangon routes

China Airlines recently announced it has increased its flights frequencies on some of the routes in May this year.

The airline in a statement said it has added scheduled China Airlines flights to its Taipei-Hong Kong-Jakarta and Taipei-Yangon routes in order to meet strong demand from travelers.

China Airlines increased the frequency of its Taipei-Hong Kong-Jakarta flights from seven to ten every week starting from May 6, 2012. The additional flights will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

The airline also began providing one additional Taipei-Yangon flight per week for a total of four weekly services starting from May 15, 2012. The airline said that it will continuously increase the service on Saturdays from September 15 providing five weekly roundtrip flights between Taipei and Yangon.

The airline said that the expanded services are providing convenience for travelers to Hong Kong and Yangon and also introduced more transit activity to Southeast Asia. The additional flights have also strengthened Taiwan’s position as a regional air transport hub.
