Etihad Airways expands codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines

Etihad Airways recently announced the expansion of its codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines. By expanding the agreement, Etihad Airways flights will now be able to fly to Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse as these destinations have also been included now.

Etihad Airways is currently into a codeshare pact with Brussels Airlines, and is also able to connect its services to Barcelona, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Madrid, Oslo and Stockholm.

The airline is presently operating 8 weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Brussels in a two-class aircraft configuration.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways President and CEO, said that the expansion of the codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines has significantly opened up more of the French market to its passengers, with the addition of three new destinations – Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse – into its network.

He said that Etihad Airways and Brussels Airlines have been into a very successful partnership since 2006.

Hogan said that the airline is looking forward to work with Brussels Airlines, and hoped that the passengers taking Brussels Airlines flights from various points on its network also travel to Abu Dhabi and other destinations.
