Etihad Airways offering organic farms produced food on board its flights

Passengers taking Etihad Airways flights will now get a unique flying experience. United Arab Emirates’ flag carrier recently announced it has started serving its customers food produced on organic farms.

This initiative is part of the commitment of the airline to its customers to offer the freshest and finest products.

The airline disclosed that it has bought 200 hens and raising these free-range at Abu Dhabi Organic Farms. The airline said that it will be using the eggs produced by the hens in Etihad Airways’ Diamond First Class dishes. This also includes the highly popular “eggs any style” breakfast option freshly prepared by the onboard chefs on Etihad Airways flights.

Apart from eggs produced by hens at organic farms, Etihad Airways has also bought three bee hives, and put them up at Abu Dhabi Organic Farms. The airline has decided to serve honey produced by the bees exclusively to its customers and will also be using it across a range of dishes.
