Etihad Airways sign deal with Viceroy Hotel Group

UAE’s national flag carrier Etihad Airways recently announced it has signed a partnership deal with the Viceroy Hotel Group aimed at benefiting its frequent flyer program members.

The airline in a statement said that its frequent flyer program members booking Etihad Airways flights to Abu Dhabi and Maldives will now be able to earn Etihad Guest Miles on their total bill when staying at Viceroy Maldives and Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi.

Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi is a leading 5 star hotel in the UAE, and is located only minutes away from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Peter Baumgartner, Chief Commercial Officer of Etihad Airways, said that it is matter of great delight that the Etihad Guest program is now associated with a prestigious hotel group and one of the world’s top brands.

He said that starting from April 2013, the Etihad Guest members under the joint venture would be able to earn one mile per US dollar spent during their stay at either of the properties in Abu Dhabi or Maldives.

Currently, there are more than 1.8 million members associated with the Etihad Guest program in more than 195 countries.
