Etihad Airways to launch daily nonstop flights on Abu Dhabi-Ho Chi Minh City route in October

United Arab Emirates national flag carrier Etihad Airways recently announced it will be launching new flights services between UAE and Vietnam in October this year.

The airline in a statement said that Etihad Airways flights between Abu Dhabi and Ho Chi Minh City would be launched starting October 1, 2012. The nonstop flights between the two capital cities would be operated on a daily basis.

Etihad Airways would become the third Middle East carrier to offer flights to Vietnam. Currently, Qatar Airways is operating flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City via Bangkok. Emirates Airlines also operate nonstop flights between Dubai and Ho Chi Minh City.

Earlier, Etihad Airways had entered into a codeshare partnership with Vietnam Airlines and had been selling Etihad Airways flights tickets to both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City via Bangkok though Vietnam Airlines.
 
Etihad Airways would be operating flights between Abu Dhabi and Ho Chi Minh City with the help of a two-class A330-200 aircraft having a capacity of 262 seats. The airline would provide a weekly capacity of 3,668 seats round-trip on this route.
