Finnair to launch direct flights to Hanoi in summer 2013
Finnair, the national flag carrier of Finland, recently announced it will be launching its direct flights services between Finland and Vietnam next year.
The airline in a statement said that Finnair flights would be launched between Helsinki and Hanoi in summer 2013.
The flights would start being operated from June 14 next year. The airline plans to offer Finnair flights tickets for its thrice weekly services from its hub in Helsinki to Vietnamese capital Hanoi.
The launch of flights on Helsinki-Hanoi route is part of the airline’s efforts to boost its traffic between Europe and Asia. The launch of flights is subject to regulatory approvals.
After starting its flights services between Helsinki and Hanoi, Finnair will become the only European carrier to offer direct flights from Europe to Vietnam’s capital city Hanoi.
The flights services on Helsinki-Hanoi route, which starts on June 14, will continue to be operated until October 27, 2013. Currently, Finnair offers connections from Helsinki to more than 60 destinations in Europe.
