Finnair to start offering vegetarian meals in economy class from November

Passengers booking Finnair flights can now look forward to have vegetarian meals onboard their flights. The airline’s move is aimed at broadening its services and meeting the dietary needs of its customers.

Nordic carrier Finnair recently announced it is planning to offer vegetarian meals to its customers booking Finnair flights tickets in economy class starting from November this year.

The airline indicated that it will make available its new in-flight vegetarian menu on all intercontinental flights. The airline said that the meal options would be available at the time of booking and the customers can pre-order when purchasing air tickets.

According to the airline, the airline planned to introduce a vegetarian menu as this was based on suggestions provided to Finnair’s quality hunters. The airline chose the quality hunters for improving services to its passengers.

Finnair in a statement said that some of the passengers also suggested food concepts, such as “meat-free Monday”. A range of dishes were also suggested by the passengers. These dishes include chickpea and tomato salad with basil, and grilled vegetarian pizza.
