Beach Road

Though, bicyclists won’t find it a hindrance when taking on to this trail. With little commercial activity and fewer vehicles, the Beach Road is surely the best for a biking expedition. There is something for everyone on this route. A thrilling experience is in store for hardcore cyclists who can easily get up to 30 miles per hour. Most avid cyclists also include this route in 40-miles loop. The spectacularly wild Hobe Beach as well as Hobe Sound Wildlife Refuge is great to explore on Jupiter Island.

Riverbend Park
The Riverbend Park is a famous biking trail in South Florida’s Jupiter Island and is highly popular with families. The circuitous Riverbend Park is spread in an area of over 680 acres. The hard-packed shell trails are especially created for being shared by both bicyclists and hikers. A 1.5 mile section is the longest stretch here and is available for those cyclists who only want to enjoy peddling through the woods. The Riverbend Park has a total of 10 miles of biking trails which are great for riding and exploring. These trails are quite picturesque. Most of them pass through shady woods offering panoramic views across the rivers, ponds and marshes. With short loops and wildlife, the trails here are ideal for families and kids. These trails are definitely not for those looking for distance or speed.

Hollywood Broadwalk
The 2.5-mile-long Hollywood Braodwalk is ready to offer a delightful ride to those who are patient. You will discover spectacular beach on one side while Mom and pop cafes lining on the other side. The biking expedition can be extended here by continuing riding several miles north through North Beach Park along a seagrape-lined route and onwards to the narrow Surf Road. Though, biking on Hollywood Broadwalk can sometimes can be risky as pedestrians and children are found to be wandering in the bike lane quite often. The biking trail is particularly for sightseeing and those with lots of patience. This biking trail is quite popular with families.

Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail
The hiking and biking trail circling the Lake Okeechobee is 110-mile-long, and is ideal for a great expedition. Nearly 45 mile stretch of the trail is paved. This stretch is considered to be the best for skinny-tire bikes. The biking/hiking trail is situated on the 35-foot-tall Herbert Hoover Dike. It offers magnificent views of the wetlands, sugarcane farms and the lake. When you are on a biking expedition here during the winter you will be able to see the wintering waterfowl, egrets and herons. Other animals and birds such as vultures, snakes, turtles and Armadillos are commonly found here. The scenery at the Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail can be monotonous and you may be exposed to strong winds because of lack on any shade. This biking trail is the best for those who love riding for miles and miles.

Shark Valley loop
The Shark Valley loop in the Everglades National Park is considered to be the best biking trail in the entire South Florida. The Shark Valley has a 15-mile-long smooth paved loop trail passing traversing through the Everglades National Park. You won’t find any traffic here. This biking trail is ideal for families. The quality and length of this trail is a major attraction for long-distance cyclists as well.
