Toronto turns Musical!

Dubbed the cultural and entertainment capital of Canada, Toronto is definitely a city you should explore this year. The largest city in the country, Toronto is the capital of Ontario and is made up of an eclectic patchwork of people, many of whom aren’t originally from the city or even the country. The city of Toronto is an unassuming, progressive and highly multifaceted city, and visiting is as easy as booking the best airfares for flights to Toronto!

If you are thinking of spending time in Toronto anytime from June-August, there are plenty of events taking place to keep you busy! There’s always a lot to do when visiting Toronto, but the various events taking place throughout the summer will add to your itinerary.

During the month of June, enjoy local events like the Latin Kaleidoscope, held on June 1 with Maestro Sabatino Vacca and the Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra. Also on June 1-2 is The Korean DANO Spring Festival, held in Christie Pits Park with plenty of Korean food, music and activities for the whole family to enjoy. During the first couple days of June there’s also the Ontario Wide Cycling and Pedestrian Rally, with locals holding the event as an effort to get more bike lanes throughout Ontario.

If you’re looking for something a bit more upscale, try Mirage: The 2012 Versailles Gala. This upscale event has everything from a cocktail reception to a silent auction. The Luminato Festival takes places on June 10 and offers visitors a mix of music, theatre, dance, visual arts, literature and film.

There’s also a great opportunity for music fans in Toronto this summer. Neil Diamond will be playing on June 26th, and follow it up the next day with a concert from Aerosmith. Later in the summer, on July 2nd, the Scorpions will take the stage in the Canadian city. And on July 6th, head up to hear Norah Jones.
