Upstream check-in service at Pearl River Delta ports by Garuda
Indonesia’s national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia recently announced the launch of its upstream check-in service at the five Pearl River Delta ports.
The airline in a statement said that the upstream check-in service at the five Pearl River Delta ports would enable the passengers to directly board their Garuda Indonesia flights after arriving by ferry at the Hong Kong International Airport.
The airline stated that the introducing of the new service is aimed at providing hassle-free journey to the customers booking Garuda Indonesia flights tickets. Currently, the upstream check-in service is available at Macau Taipa, Macau Maritime, Shenzhen Fuyong, Shenzhen Shekou and Dongguan Humen ports.
According to Garuda Indonesia, the passengers would now be able to avail the services like general check-in, bag tag and tax refund coupon, collection of boarding pass, baggage check, and CIQ (Customs, Immigration and Quarantine) clearance at the designated five upstream posts and borders before taking the ferry to the Hong Kong International Airport.
