Jet Airways suspending Sharjah-Thiruvananthapuram flights from May 5

Jet Airways flights between Sharjah and Thiruvanathapuram is being suspended in May this year bringing discomfort to the passengers.

India’s leading private carrier Jet Airways recently announced it will be suspending its flights between Sharjah and Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram from May 5, 2012 because of route rationalization. The popular daily flight from Kerala to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was launched 6 months ago.

The airline in a statement said that passengers who booked Jet Airways flights tickets from Sharjah to Thiruvananthapuram on the suspended flight will rerouted through other connections and will be accommodated on the Sharjah-Kochi flight. Passengers who have made their bookings on the suspended flight after May 5 will be receiving a full refund.

The airline also stated that it is constantly expanding its domestic and international network, and making best efforts to improve seat factors.

Jet Airways further stated that it has also been impacted by recession like other carriers across the world. It is, however, trying to improve its efficiency and productivity in operations.
