Kenya Airways wins awards for best products on African carrier

Kenya Airways has recently bagged top awards for offering some of the best products on an African carrier. Kenyan Airways has been named as an African airline with the best economy class product operating out of Tanzania. The airline emerged at the top after beating South African Airways and Rwanda Air.

Kenya Airways has also been named as an African airline with the best premium class product as well as the best onward connections within Africa. Kenya Airways bagged a total of three awards at the recently-concluded Tanzania Society of Travel Agents' (TASOTA) awards night in Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam.

Among other African carriers to win awards included Precision Air and Fast Jet. According to reports, Precision Air won one award. The airline won the award for being the best domestic scheduled airline ahead of Air Tanzania. The reports further stated that the low-cost African airline Fast Jet was presented with the “New Kid on the Block Award”.

The major winner was however the leading Middle East carrier Emirates Airline, which bagged a total of eight awards. The airline was presented with the award for being the international airline offering the best economy class products operating out of Tanzania. Emirates Airline also received award for offering the best premium product in Tanzania. To receive this award, the airline defeated Qatar Airways and Swissair. Emirates Airline has also been presented award for the best onwards connections to Middle East, Indian sub-continent and the Far East. The airline left its rivals Qatar Airways and Oman Air behind in this race.
