Korean Air Provides Free Coat Storage Service to Passengers

Korean Air passengers flying this winter to warmer areas like Hawaii, Australia and Thailand have something to be delighted about. Now they do not need to lug their bulky, winter coats with them, as Korean Air will store their coats, that too for free.

Korean Air has once again made this service available to passengers flying from Seoul’s Incheon Airport. Passengers can take benefit of this service until February 28, 2015 and travel light. The airline plans to expand this service very soon at Gimhae Airport in Busan, as it offers flights to several Southeast Asian destinations from here.

The airline is providing safe, secure, trustworthy and specialized service at the airports for the coat storage purposes. Passenger coats will be covered properly and hung on sturdy coat hangers.

To make use of this service, passengers simply need to flash their boarding passes at Hanjin Express counter situated on the third floor of the airport, in AREA A of passenger terminal section. Commissioned servicemen with collect their coats and handover a receipt, which they need to flash in order to get their coat back on their arrival. This service is free of charge for up to five days, post which KRW 2,500 ($2.23 USD) per day will be charged as surcharge. Service at Hanjin Express counter is made available 24 hours for all days of the week.

For passengers traveling from Busan, this service will be made available on the second floor of the Gimhae International Airport. This service will be available from 0540 hours to 2130 hours on a daily basis. Coats can be stored here free of cost for up to three days, post which a surcharge of KRW 500 ($.045 USD) will be charged on a daily basis.

Korean Air first introduced the concept of coats storage in 2005. This service has time and again proved to be very successful among its flyers. This year the airline is expecting at least 300 passengers to take benefit from this service on a daily basis.
