LAN Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner routes announced

LAN Airlines recently announced the landing of Boeing 787 Dreamliner for the first time in Chile, which has become a major attraction of the current International Air and Space Fair, FIDAE. The airline has already stated that it will be including Boeing 787s into its fleet starting late 2012.

LAN Airlines flights will start operating during its first year to various destinations, such as Santiago, Buenos Aires, Lima, Los Angeles, Madrid and Frankrurt. The airline will gradually integrate these routes through Boeing 787 Dreamliner’s first year of service.

The airline will be receiving its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner in late 2012, thus becoming the first carrier in Latin America, and one of the first in the world, to include the aircraft in its fleet. The airline expects to receive 32 aircrafts in the first 10 years.

The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner of LAN Airlines will be configured with 217 Economy Class seats and 30 Premium Business Class seats.

LAN Airlines has made one of the largest investments in history, $3,500 million, to acquire Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
