LAN Airlines co-locates in New York JFK Terminal 8 along with American Airlines

Latin America-based LAN Airlines has further solidified its relationship with American Airlines. The airline recently moved into the Terminal 8 at New York JFK Airport and is now co-located along with American Airlines.

LAN Airlines affiliates, including LAN Chile, LAN Peru and LAN Ecuador, will also be co-located in Terminal 8.

LAN Airlines is the fourth oneworld alliance carrier to move into Terminal 8 and start flight operations out of New York JFK.

Earlier, the United States Department of Transportation had approved American Airlines to enter into codeshare agreement with LAN Ecuador, a LAN Airlines affiliate, in November 2011.

The recent co-location is expected to prove beneficial to passengers of both the carriers offering them more options and greater connectivity when traveling between the US, Latin America and across each carrier’s respective network. Besides, the new co-location will also allow LAN Airlines’ passengers easier access to American Airlines' lounges.
