LAN Airlines to increase daily flights between Santiago and Montevideo
Chile-based carrier LAN Airlines recently announced it is increasing its flights services between Santiago and Montevideo in Uruguay.
The airline in a statement said that LAN Airlines flights between Santiago and Montevideo will be operated thrice daily. The additional flights services are expected to improve the air connectivity between Chile and the region.
LAN Airlines said that the three daily nonstop flights between the two cities is being offered with an aim to strengthen and increase connectivity on this route.
According to the airline, Uruguay is a top tourism destination within South America. With the increased flights services to Montevideo, LAN Airlines is aiming to develop tourism in the region.
The airline stated that Uruguay has emerged as a major tourist attraction with its famous beaches, rich culture and fine cuisine.
The additional flights will also enable Uruguayan travelers to get increased access to Chile, as well as a wide choice of Latin American tourist destinations.
