Russian Standard vodka to be offered on Philippine Airlines now

Philippine Airlines has announced that it will now start offering Russian Standard vodka on all its international flights. According to the airline, Russian Standard Original is being offered in the business class and economy class cabins on the international flights. It is being offered in the airline’s Mabuhay Lounges as well.

Currently, Philippine Airlines is operating flights to 30 domestic and 36 international destinations. The airline has recently indicated that it is planning to add more flights to a number of cities across the world, including Rome, Amsterdam, Paris and London.

Meanwhile, media reports have recently said that Philippine Airlines is all set to launch its flights to Russia starting from October 27, 2013. The reports said that the airline will be connecting Manila with direct flights to Vladivostok. The flights would be operated every ten days with the help of an Airbus A320 aircraft.

Media reports quoting airline officials said that the charter flights to Vladivostok are expected to gradually prepare the grounds for direct flights between the Philippines and other cities in Russia in future. The officials said that the start is though small. The officials said that Vladivostok is a much needed market, and therefore initially the first attempt is being made here. They said that extensive efforts would be made to aggressively promote the Philippines as a destination before launching flights to the Far East. The reports said that the next step of Philippine Airlines would be to consider other regions in Russia as well, particularly Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and Moscow, from where the flights could be started in future.
