Qantas Airways completes roll out of Wi-Fi services in 40 lounges

Australia’s national flag carrier Qantas Airways recently announced it has successfully completed the rollout of its Wi-Fi services in its lounges across the country.

The airline in a statement said that customers booking Qantas Airways flights would be able to find it convenient in connecting to the internet through high-speed Wi-Fi service when traveling to/from Australia.

The airline stated that its high-speed Optus Wi-Fi services have successfully been rolled out in its 40 lounges throughout the country.

Lyell Strambi, Qantas Airways’ domestic Chief Executive, said that the Wi-Fi service would be offering connection speeds of around 10 to 20 Mbps. The service would be available to customers booking Qantas Airways flights tickets in first class as well as business class.

Strambi said that the service is currently being offered at domestic and international terminals at 20 airports, including Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Hobart, Darwin, Canberra, Brisbane and Adelaide.
