Singapore Airlines into domestic codeshare with Virgin Australia
Feb 10, 2012
Singapore Airlines recently started codesharing with Virgin Australia on Australian domestic flights. The codesharing will provide passengers taking Singapore Airlines flights with seamless connections and more travel options when traveling to and from Australia.
Singapore Airlines flight reservations are open for booking now with the start of codesharing. The airline currently operates flights to five Australian cities, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
The codeshare agreement will enable Singapore Airlines to put its flight code on Virgin Australia-operated flights, and simultaneously adding 20 more cities to its codeshare network.
Singapore Airlines will be codesharing on Virgin Australia-operated roundtrip flights between Brisbane and Darwin, Williamtown, Townsville, Rockhampton, Mackay and Cairns; between Melbourne and Hobart, Darwin, Launceston and Mildura; between Perth and Darwin, Karratha, Newman and Port Hedland; and between Sydney and Canberra, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Ayers Rock (Uluru), Ballina, Hervey Bay, Albury and Maroochydore.
