South African Airways introduces flights to Kigali and Bujumbura

South African Airways recently expanded its operations further in Africa. South African Airways flights will now land in Rwanda as well as Burundi.

Keeping in line with its growth plans in the African continent, the airline has introduced flights to two more destinations – Kigali (Rwanda) and Bujumbura (Burundi) – from Johannesburg.

The passengers can now make South African Airways flight reservations to Kigali and onwards to Bujumbura from Johannesburg. Similarly, the return flights will operate from Bujumbura to Kigali and onwards to Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport.

The airline aims to significantly increase intra-regional connectivity and boost growth in the Great Lakes region of Central and Eastern Africa.

South African Airways will deploy A319 aircraft to operate flights on the route between Johannesburg to Kigali and onwards to Bujumbura. The aircraft will accommodate a total of 120 passengers in business as well as economy class. The flights will be operated three times every week.
