Turkish Airlines introduces fragrance to enhance airline’s brand

Turkish Airlines has indicated it is all set to take its brand to another level. The airline recently introduced its own fragrance “TK 1933” for passengers’ relaxation. Turkish Airlines said that the fragrance is intended to bring a sense of happiness and relaxation for its passengers. The fragrance is also aimed at providing a sensory recognition of the global branding of Turkish Airlines.

Providing details about the exclusive “TK 1933” fragrance, Turkish Airlines said that the fragrance has been created by the international perfume company MG Gulcicek. This designated branded fragrance would be used in the airline’s VIP/CIP Lounges, tickets sales offices, inside the aircraft, and for other corporate purposes.

The airline providing further details said that the name “TK 1933” has been chosen as a tribute to the year in which Turkish Airlines was founded. The exclusive fragrance was prepared after an extensive quantitative research was carried out on two scents, which were selected as the finalists.

A top official of Turkish Airlines said that the scent “TK 1933” was selected from two different fragrances that survived a 15-month process that encompassed research, development and production processes. Fragrance testing with customers was also carried out on the airline’s corporate premises. The official said that the research was indeed remarkable. The scent produced feelings of trust, pleasure, serenity, happiness and peace.

Turkish Airlines marked its milestone 80th anniversary in 2013. The airline is currently offering services to 239 destinations across 104 countries around the world.
