Turkish Airlines launches Istanbul-Kathmandu route on Sep 1

Turkish Airlines, which was voted as Europe’s best airline recently is on an expansion mode. The carrier intends to explore new destinations and offer connectivity to various cities and countries the world over. The carrier recently announced the launch of four-times-a-week flights to Kathmandu.

The airline has opened new route between Istanbul and Kathmandu, the capital of mountainous nation of Nepal in Asia. This new route was launched on September 1, 2013. This new route adds to the airline as its 29th destination in the far East.

As per the schedule, the flights will depart Istanbul every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 21:45 hours and arrive in Kathmandu at 07:15 hours. The flights will depart Kathmandu every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 08:45 hours and arrive in Istanbul at 13:40 hours.

You can book Turkish Airlines tickets as the airline is offering introductory fares to celebrate the launch. These round-trip fares are up for grabs for as low as $543*. The carrier also has a special offer for its Miles&Smiles members . These members can redeem the miles at a reduction of 25 percent in either award tickets or upgrades.

The airline also achieved the distinction of ranking at 6th position amongst Star Alliance members in 2012. These rankings were granted in context of passengers carried by the members of the alliance.
