Turkish Airlines reaches goal of adding 200th aircraft

Turkey’s national flag carrier Turkish Airlines recently announced it has become the proud owner of its 200th aircraft. The airline in a statement said that Turkish Airlines flights network would be expanded with the addition of a new aircraft.

Turkish Airlines has now become the world’s fifth largest airline to operate a huge fleet of 200 aircrafts. The airline said that it is going to further strengthen its position.

Hamdi Topcu, Chairman of Turkish Airlines, said that the airline will continue to expand and reach its goal of having a fleet of 300 aircrafts in future. Initially, the airline owned a fleet of only 54 aircrafts when it began its expansion in 2003 and operated flights to 103 destinations.
