Aeromexico’s traffic records upward movement in September

The Mexican airline that offers service to various destinations across the Americas and other parts of the world said that its passenger traffic for the month of September 2013 has shown an upward movement. The airline recorded a 10.6 percent increase in comparison to the figures for the same period of 2012.
The month of September has turned out to be a fruitful month for the carrier. Overall, 1.258 million passengers booked plane tickets with the carrier to fly to different destinations worldwide. These figures are the highest in any month of the current year. The carrier has more reasons to cheer for the bygone month. Demand in the month of September increased 8.7 percent as compared to the same period of last year. Interestingly this demand is the highest for a month since the month of February 2012.
The carrier’s capacity, which is measured in Available Seat Kilometers, also increased 4.6 percent in comparison to the same period last year. The load factor for the month stood at 75.1 percent. This is a 2.9 percent age point increase on a year-on-year basis. The carrier also achieved 11.2 percent point improvement year-on-year basis in on-time departures. This figure reached 89.5 percent. At present, the airline operates more than 600 daily flights to over 80 cities worldwide.
