Air France to widen Brazil network, to launch Brasilia service

Air France is all set to expand its presence in the Americas. The premier airline of Europe announced its decision to launch flights to Brasilia. The airline is all set to commence service between Paris and Brasilia beginning March 31, 2014.

Passengers now have a chance to book airline tickets and fly to Brasilia from next year onwards. The capital city is the carrier’s third overall destination in the Latin American country. It plans to launch three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to the city from Paris. The carrier will use the services of Boeing 777-200 aircraft on this route. This aircraft is equipped with a seating capacity for 309 passengers. Of these 309 seats, 35 are available in Business class, 24 in Premium Economy, and 250 in Economy class.

The airline is serious about strengthening its presence in Brazil. It is with this intention that it has announced this new route. The city is one of the primary hubs for the airlines operating in the country. As per the schedule, flights will depart Paris at 1:30 pm and arrive in Brasilia at 7:10 pm. The return flights will depart Brasilia at 10:55 pm and arrive in Paris at 2:20 pm the next day.

The airline already serves the cities of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in the country. It is also contemplating to launch Airbus A380 service to Sao Paulo during the first half of the next year. The super jumbo is a double-decker plane with a capacity for 516 passengers. The aircraft comprises four classes including First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.
