Air India increases the capacity and frequency of flights to Japan

In order to bring back more Indians from Japan due to the nuclear crises, Air India recently increased the frequency and capacity in flights to Tokyo.

The airline is now operating Boeing 747-400 aircrafts over 777-300ER to Tokyo as the prior one can board 423 passengers at a time. The air carrier also operates three-time weekly flights to Osaka, which will continue with its regular operations.

The increased capacity flight will be operated until 19th March 2011. At present the airline has brought back around 900 passengers to India from Japan.

According to the aviation official, the earthquake and the nuclear crises have resulted into a sharp drop of air travel demand to Japan.
